<br />system for a gospel sing to be held on property located off Derita Road The
<br />event is scheduled for Friday, August 10, 1990 from 7:30 P.M. until
<br />approximately 9:00 P.M.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Simmons and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board granted permission to Bob and Diane Jones and
<br />Tommy and Mary Lunceford for the use of an outdoor amplification system to
<br />conduct a gospel sing on property adjacent to their homes off Derita Road on
<br />Friday, August 10, 1990, from 7:30 P.M. until approximately 9:00 P.M.

<br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution.

<br />Chapters 121 and 132 of the General Statutes of North
<br />Carolina define Public Records as "all documents,
<br />papers, letters, maps, books, photographs, films, sound
<br />recordings, magnetic or other tapes, electronic data
<br />processing records, artifacts, or other documentary
<br />material, regardless of physical form or
<br />characteristics, made or received pursuant to law or
<br />ordinance in connection with the transaction of public
<br />business by any agency of North Carolina government or
<br />its subdivisions"; and
<br />the Division of Archives and History and the North
<br />Carolina Department of Cultural Resources have issued
<br />Records Retention and Disposition Schedules specifying
<br />the retention periods governing the records series for
<br />the following offices: Public Libraries (dated July 1,
<br />1987) and County Animal Shelter (dated October 1, 1985);
<br />and
<br />the Director of the Division of Archives and History and
<br />the Secretary of the Department of Cultural Resources
<br />have certified that such records as specified in the
<br />Records Retention and Disposition Schedules have no
<br />further use or value for research or reference; and
<br />all provisions of the Records Retention and Disposition
<br />Schedules for the Public Library and the County Animal
<br />Shelter will remain in effect until such time the
<br />schedules are officially amended by the Division of
<br />Archives and History and the Department of Cultural
<br />Resources.
