492 <br /> <br /> f. Give assistance (as requested) to the Agency in designing work <br />experiences for the trainee. <br /> g. Disburse the stipend to the trainee on a monthly basis as <br />provided in Attachment A (Budget). <br /> 4. TERMINATION <br /> The term of this Agreement is for a period of 12 months, commencing <br />on the 28 day of August, 1990 and terminating on the 27 day of August, 1991. <br />Any renewal of this agreement shall be effected by written agreement signed by <br />the official representatives of the parties. Either party may terminate this <br />Agreement upon the giving of thirty (30) days notice. In the event of early <br />termination, any unexpended stipend funds will be refunded to the Agency. <br /> 5. MODIFICATIONS <br /> The parties agree to the full and complete performance of the mutual <br />covenants contained herein and that this Agreement constitutes the sole, full <br />and complete agreement by and between the parties; and no amendments, changes, <br />additions, deletions or modifications to or of this Agreement shall be valid <br />unless reduced to writing, signed by the parties and attached hereto. <br /> 6. GOVERNING LAW <br /> This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of North <br />Carolina. <br /> 7. NOTICES <br /> Any written communication or notice pursuant to the Agreement shall <br />be made to the following representatives or the respective parties at the <br />following address: <br /> For the University: Gordon p. Ruffin, County Manager, announced that Ms. Jo Ann Atwater, <br />Master in Public Administration Degree candidate, would begin work with Cabarrus <br />County on August 28, 1990 for a period of one year. Ms. Atwater will be <br />substituting for Mrs. Cynthia Eades, Personnel Officer, and Mrs. Diane Seaford, <br />Budget Officer, both of whom will be taking approximately four months of <br />maternity leave during Ms. Atwater's internship. <br /> Chairman Lentz recessed the meeting at 9:58 A.M. until the conclusion of <br />the meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the Water and Sewer District. <br /> Chairman Lentz reconvened the meeting at 10:02 A.M. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Moss, seconded by Commissioner Simmons and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (HOME HEALTH) <br />AMOUNT $68,929.34 <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Addition of staff to accommodate present and anticipated <br /> growth in patient numbers. Expenses will be more than offset by revenues. <br /> <br /> <br />
