Ruffin, County Manager, reported that the County had been <br />billed $41,879.46 by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina for losses <br />incurred during the last quarter. He noted that the total amount lost last year <br />was $150,558.10. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Simmons with <br />Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Simmons, Hamby, and Melvin voting for, the <br />Board authorized the appropriation of $41,879.46 from the $200,000.00 set aside <br />in the Fund Balance for insurance purposes in order to pay Blue Cross and Blue <br />Shield of North Carolina for the losses incurred. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin with <br />Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Melvin, Hamby and Simmons voting for, the Board <br />authorized $500.00 from Board Directed Expenses to provide a simple lunch on <br />October 29, 1990, for students and teachers participating in an Educational <br />Program called "Meet the Courts and Law Enforcement 1990" as requested by The <br />Honorable Adam C.
