<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Simmons, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 90-08(t) to amend Section 3.2-
<br />4, "Schedule of Use Regulations" as follows:

<br />To add the C-1 (Neighborhood Service Business District) as permitted
<br />uses:
<br /> (1) Food Sales, Retail

<br />To add to the C-1 (Neighborhood Service Business District) as
<br />conditional uses:

<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Simmons, seconded by Chairman Lentz and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 90-13 by the Cabarrus County
<br />Planning and Zoning staff to rezone the following properties on Highway 73 East,
<br />Cold Springs Road, and Irish Potato Road from C-5 to ARR/C-1 to conform with
<br />"Small Area Plan for the Cold Springs Road/Highway 73 Community".

<br />2711.

<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved Petition 90-07(t) to amend Section
<br />3.1(R) "District Statement of Intent", and Section 3.2-4, "Schedule of Use
<br />Regulations" as follows:

<br />To delete C-5 (Highway Service District) and all references to this
<br />District from the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance Text and Atlas.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Robert ~,mos, petitioner, asked to withdraw Petition 90-04(t) to delete
<br />Plumbing and Heating Supply Stores as a permitted use in the C-5 zone. He
<br />stated that the action taken by the Board on this date relative to the Small
<br />Area Plan corrected the problem.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Lentz and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board acknowledged the request by Mr. Robert ~amos and
<br />accepted the withdrawal of Petition 90-04(t).

<br />
<br /> Mr. Aubrey Attkisson, Emergency Medical Services Director, presented
<br />information relative to Emergency Medical Services Week and outlined activities
<br />to educate the public on emergency medical services in Cabarrus County.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Moss and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following proclamation.
