530 <br /> <br />Whereas, the proposed greenway will be a joint project funded and <br />supported by Cabarrus-Rowan Park Commission, Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners, Rowan County Board of Commissioners, City of <br />Kannapolts Council, Federal Land and Water Conservation funds, and <br />Atlantic American Properties; <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />Proposed project, estimated for $75,500.00, includes a ten <br />foot trail system, a fifty foot steel bridge, benches, tables, <br />protective fencing, general grading and landscaping; <br />The Federal Land and Water Conservation Funds (if approved) <br />of fifty thousand dollars and the ability to match the land <br />appraisal value will provide sixty-seven percent of the <br />projected Greenway Development Cost; <br />Atlantic American Properties will donate approximately nine <br />acres to the Cabarrus-Rowan Park Commission for the <br />construction of a Greenway; <br />The remaining thirty-three percent of the Greenway Development <br />Budget will be funded by the three supporting governmental <br />bodies through the Cabarrus-Rowan Park Commission Annual <br />Budget: Rowan County's Share - $6,375.00; Cabarrus County <br />Share - $14,025.00, and City of Kannapolis Share - $5,100.00; <br />Immediate funding of $2,250.00 will be required for the pre- <br />application of the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund <br />Grant. He indicated that <br />the leadership provided by these members was necessary during the development <br />of the Master Park and Recreation Plan for Cabarrus County. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board agreed to appoint successors in July, 1991 for <br />the following Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission members: Rickey <br />Huneycutt, Donna Davidson, and Toni Troutman. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Simmons and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Capital Project Ordinance <br />and budget amendments for the Senior Center. <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY SENIOR CENTER <br />CAPITAL PROJECT ORDINANCE <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Cabarrus County that pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the <br />General Statutes of North Carolina, CABARRUS COUNTY SENIOR CENTER <br />CAPITAL PRO3ECT is hereby adopted. <br /> Section 1. The Project authorization is for professional <br />services and construction of the Cabarrus County Senior Center. <br /> <br /> <br />
