558 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in regular <br />session in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental <br />Center in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, November 5, 1990, at 9:30 A.M. <br /> Present - Chairman: James W. Simmons, Jr. <br /> The invocation was given by Reverend Gene Burke of the Shadybrook Baptist <br />Church. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Moss, seconded by Commissioner Melvin with <br />Commissioners Moss, Melvin, and Hamby and Chairman Lentz voting for, the minutes <br />of October 15, 1990 were approved as written. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> The following petition for a fire district election for the Richfield <br />Misenheimer Fire District was received by the Board. <br /> <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />(CABARRUS COUNTY) <br />(STANLY COUNTY) <br />(ROWAN COUNTY) <br /> <br />PETITION FOR FIRE DISTRICT ELECTION <br />RICHFIELD MISENHEIMER FIRE DISTRICT <br /> <br /> THE UNDERSIGNED, being RESIDENT FREEHOLDERS living in a <br />district, which district is described below in this petition and <br />shall hereafter be designated as the Richfield Misenheimer Fire <br />District, petition the BOARDS OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR STANLY, <br />CABARRUS, AND ROWAN COUNTIES to call an election in said district <br />for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters therein the <br />question of levying and collecting a special tax on all taxable <br />property in said district, of an amount not exceeding fifteen cents <br />($.15) of the one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuation of property, <br />for the purpose of providing fire protection in said district. The <br />undersigned further petition that the aforementioned tax shall be <br />levied for, and fire protection begun in, the fiscal year BEGINNING <br />JULY 1, 1991. This petition is submitted pursuant to the provisions <br />of North Carolina General Statute 69-25.1 et seq (as amended). <br /> This district for which the fire district election is sought <br />lies within the following boundaries: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point (1) on NC Hwy. 49, 4 miles west of the <br />fire station, this being 0.6 miles west of Stanly-Cabarrus County <br />line; thence in a northeasterly direction 3.3 miles to a point (2) <br />on Hwy 52 at the intersection of Hwy 52 and the Cabarrus - Rowan <br />County line; thence in a easterly direction 2.4 miles to a point (3) <br />at the intersection of Reeves Island Road SR# 2148 and Beatty's Ford <br />Road SR# 2356, thence in a easterly direction following Beatty's <br />Ford Road SR# 2356 approximately 1.0 mile to a point (4) at the <br />intersection of Beatty's Ford Road SR# 2356 and Stokes Ferry Road <br />SR# 1004; thence in a southeasterly direction following Stokes Ferry <br />Road SR# 1004 approximately 2.0 miles to a point (5) at the <br />intersection of Stokes Ferry Road SR# 1004 and the Stanly -Rowan <br />County Line; Thence in a easterly direction following the Stanly - <br />Rowan County line to a point (6) at the intersection of Stanly - <br />Rowan County line and Hwy. 49; thence in a southwesterly following <br />the centerline of NG HWY 49 to a point (7) at the intersection of <br />NC Hwy 49 and NC HWY 8; thence in a southwesterly direction to a <br />point (8) on Ingram Road SR# 1508 approximately .725 miles west of <br />the intersection of Ingram Road SR# 1508 and NC Hwy 8; thence in a <br />southwesterly direction to a point (9) on Gold Branch Road SR# 1507 <br />approximately .3 mile southeast of the intersection of Gold Branch <br />and Gold Branch Road SR# 1507; thence in a southerly direction to <br />a point (10) at the intersection of US Hwy 52 and Old US Hwy 52; <br />thence following the centerline of US HWY 52 in a southeasterly <br />direction to a point (11) at the intersection of US Hwy 52 and <br />Danville Road SR# 1443; thence in a southwesterly direction <br /> <br /> <br />
