572 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in regular <br />session in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental <br />Center in Concord, North Carolina, on Monday, November 19, 1990, at 7:00 P.M. <br /> Present - Chairman: James W. Lentz <br /> Commissioners: R. Giles Moss <br /> Martha H. Melvin <br /> Billy J. Simmons, Jr. <br /> Absent Commissioner: William G. Hamby, Jr. <br /> Chairman Lentz and Commissioner Moss arrived at 7:10 P.M. The meeting was <br />called to order at that time by Chairman Lentz. <br /> The invocation was given by Reverend Michael E. Wood of the Concord <br />Christian Church. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Zoning Atlas and Text Amendments <br /> <br /> Chairman Lentz announced that this was the date and hour scheduled for a <br />public hearing relative to the proposed Zoning Atlas and Text amendments. Dr. <br />Nancy Randall, Chairperson of the Cabarrus County Planning Board, presented the <br />proposed amendments as recommended by the Planning Board. Mr. Gerald A. Newton, <br />Planning and Zoning Director, and Planning and Zoning staff members Jonathan <br />Marshall, Sue Russell, Mike Byrd, and Michael Downs presented the staff's <br />findings and reviewed the locations of the areas proposed for rezoning. <br /> <br />Zoning Text Amendment <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Petition 90-10(t). Planning and Zoning Department. Section 3.13. <br />"District Statement of Intent", Section 3.2-4. "Schedule of Use <br />Regulations", and Section 16. "Definitions". Amending the A-I Zoning <br />District regulations and uses. <br />The Planning Board voted 5-0 to recommend approval of this petition. <br /> <br />Zoning Atlas Amendments <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Petition 90-15 Planning and Zoning Department.
