Ad hoc committees may be formed by the Youth Commission whenever necessary. A <br />majority vote by all Youth Commissioners will be required to forum an ad hoc committee. Ad <br />job committees may be led by the President or Parliamentarian at the request of the Youth <br />Commission. <br />Duties <br />The Youth Commission members shall: <br />Serve as ad hoc members to county boards/councils as determined by the <br />Commissioners <br />- Attend at least two Commissioner meetings per year (verified by advisor) <br />- Attend scheduled Youth Commission meetings. Members must attend 75% of regular <br />meetings. Any member who does not attend the required number of meetings in a year <br />will be removed from the Commission. <br />- Work alongside County Departments and community groups to identify and discuss <br />issues facing youth in the county and develop strategies to resolve them <br />- Educate young people in the community about their role as citizens <br />Code of Ethics <br />Members may not possess and/or consume illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages during any Youth <br />Commission meetings or functions. No inappropriate behavior will be allowed at any Youth <br />Commission meeting or function. Youth Commissioners should strive to be (become model <br />students and) role models for others at all times. Any member convicted of a misdemeanor, <br />felony, or expelled from school will be removed from the Youth Commission. <br />Procedures <br />The Youth Commission shall use Parliamentary Procedure and follow Robert's Rule of Order at <br />all Business Meetings. <br />Meetings <br />The Youth Commission shall hold regularly scheduled meetings that are publicly announced in <br />advance and subject to the general statutes governing public meetings and public records. <br />Cabarrus County Youth Commission bylaws (Revised 11/7012, 2/7018) <br />Attachment number 1 \n <br />F-2 Page 47 <br />
