• Service is to be operated using vehicles provided by the Contractor. All Contractor vehicles <br />shall have a vehicle decal permanently affixed to the outside of the vehicle for identification <br />purposes. <br />The vehicles must be properly licensed and maintained through a system of regular inspections to <br />ensure proper operating condition. <br />The vehicles shalt be maintained in a safe and sanitary condition at all times while performing <br />services under the agreement. Vehicles shall be operated in accordance with applicable <br />Federal, State of INC, and local laws. Due regard for safety, comfort, and convenience of <br />passengers and for the safe and careful transportation of property and for the safety of the <br />general public must be maintained at all times while in service under Contract. This will include, <br />but not be limited to availability of proper equipment, vehicle accessibility, proper maintenance <br />of interior heating and cooling systems, use of seat belts and the use of secure equipment. <br />Vehicles must comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act which <br />requires that transportation service be accessible and useable by persons with disabilities and <br />be equipped with proper security equipment for wheelchair occupants. <br />At minimum the following components shall be installed to ensure safe transport: <br />Tie -down systems <br />Occupant Restraint Systems and Track <br />Floor Plates or Anchoring Hardware <br />Proper wheelchair accessibility equipment including emergency operations <br />All vehicles used by the Contractor or the Contractor's drivers to transport passengers for the <br />County shall be clean, sanitary, and in safe operating condition. The Contractor shall implement <br />procedures in accordance with Federal regulations for dealing with communicable diseases and <br />disposing of materials considered blood borne pathogens. <br />Providers must assure the safety and comfort of the clients by proper maintenance and <br />equipping of their vehicles. This includes but is not limited to: <br />Interior cleanliness of vehicles <br />Smoke free environment within the vehicles <br />UL approved fire extinguisher <br />Roadside reflective devices <br />Working flashlight <br />Attachment number 1 \n <br />F-4 Page 185 <br />
