Use of chemical, biological or radiological weapons could cause massive loss of life <br />involving everyone in the community and lead to the destruction of transit vehicles and <br />facilities, as well as require the use of transit vehicles for evacuation purposes. <br />2.3 Communicating about Risk: Transit Threat Alert System <br />The Federal Transit Administration has developed a transit Threat Condition Model that <br />parallels that of the Department of Homeland Security. The FTA model progresses from green <br />through red to indicate threat levels from low to severe. It also includes purple designating <br />disaster recovery. This model, along with its recommended protective measures, has been <br />adapted for use by Cabarrus County Transportation Service. <br />The Cabarrus County Transportation SAFETY/SECURITY ALERT SYSTEM <br />is found in the section of this document entitled SECURITY PLAN <br />SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS at SECTION 7.6. <br />2.4 Emergency Planning <br />2.4a. —INTERNAL CONTACT INFORMATION <br />Cabarrus County Transportation Service maintains accurate and up-to-date internal contact <br />information on key staff and board members required to respond to safety and security <br />emergencies. <br />2.4b. — EXTERNAL CONTACT INFORMATION <br />Cabarets County Transportation Service maintains accurate and up-to-date external contact <br />information on key community emergency management personnel and first responders to be <br />notified in the case of safety and security emergencies. <br />Completed Interna/ and External "CONTACT LISTS" are found in the <br />section of this document entitled SECURITY PLAN SUPPORTING <br />DOCUMENTS at SECTION 7,7, <br />2.4c — EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM ROSTER <br />Cabarets County Transportation Service maintains an accurate and up-to-date roster that <br />includes contact information of the transit incident management team in advance of any incident. <br />Attachment number 5 \n <br />F-5 Page 325 <br />
