Article I. Organization of Personnel System <br />Section 3. Definitions <br />Al Au*ilia- �--'-••--''ontracted Employee (9114). A person hired to perform incidental or occasional <br />work on a temporary basis and is paid for these services through County payroll in accordance with <br />Internal Revenue Service regulations. <br />1 Benefits eligible -An employee's eligibility for County benefits depends upon their personnel status <br />(9101, 9102, 9103, 9104,E_9105_9117). Specific eligibility requirements are explained by type of <br />benefit throughout this document. In addition to County status, we utilize the Affordable Care Act <br />guidance for health benefit eligibility including tracking work hours. <br />M) Full Time Employee (9101). An employee who is scheduled to work the number of hours per work <br />week designated by the Board of Commissioners as full time. <br />t) Part Time Employee - —An employee, eitheF •--••'a• -•'-- who is scheduled to work less <br />than the number of hours per work week designated by the Board of Commissioners as full time. <br />Currently: <br />Greater Than 1.000 Hours (9102) - from 20 to 39 hours per week <br />Less Than 1.000 Hours (9103) -less than 20 hours per week <br />ff) Seasonal Employee (9117) -An employee utilized to fulfill seasonal or short term needs of approved <br />departments. A seasonal employee may be returned to active status the next year without requiring <br />full re-hirerte. An example would be a camp counselor. <br />hh) Temporary Employee (9104). A person appein' .e fired to oerform duties on a non -regular <br />basis (as needed) or for a specific period of time'naP96iti9Rf9FaIimited duFatkm,,subjectto annual <br />review. Most of these positions are to supplement regular work performed by the department. <br />Additions: <br />1) Elected Board (9105) - Elected County Commissioners who are paid for serving in office. <br />21 Appointed Board (9115) - Board members appointed by the Board of Commissioners who are <br />compensated for attending meetings. Not all appointed boards are compensated. <br />31 Special Separation Allowance (9116) - Retirement benefit for Sworn Law Enforcement employee who <br />are eligible for benefits and have not met the age of 62. <br />Attachment number 1 \n <br />F-12 Page 116 <br />
