AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance - Write-off of Ambulance Receivables for FY 2014 - $1,146,625 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />As allowed in North Carolina General Statute 44.51.4, the County may <br />treat the amount due for ambulance services the same as if it were a tax <br />due to the county. The County's policy is to keep three years of <br />ambulance receivables plus the current year's receivables on the General <br />Ledger. This policy allows the outstanding receivable balance of <br />$1,146,625 for Fiscal Year 2014 to be written off.
