G.-7. <br />CABARR1S CO11iATT <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />=q�'H CAA��NA <br />October i <br />6:30 PM <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Planning and Development - Proposed Text Amendments TEXT2018-00003 and <br />TEXT2018-00004 - Public Hearing 6:30 p.m. <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />TEXT2018-00003-Proposed amendment to Chapter 10 and Chapter 14. <br />• Chapter 10, Parking and Loading, proposed amendment to include language related to <br />interior access roads and the NC Fire Code Requirements. <br />• Chapter 14, Nonconformities, proposed amendment to allow additional time for <br />structures destroyed by natural causes to be rebuilt. <br />TEXT2018-00004-Proposed amendment to Chapter 2 and Chapter 7. <br />• Chapter 2, Rules of Construction and Definitions, proposed amendment to <br />definitions for accessory structure and accessory dwelling unit. <br />• Chapter 7, Performance Based Standards, proposed amendment to accessory <br />structure standards to allow additional flexibility. <br />Additions are in red and items to be deleted are in strikeout text. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously (9-0) in favor of forwarding these <br />amendments to the Board of Commissioners for final consideration at the September 11, <br />2018 regular meeting. <br />The Board of Commissioners will need to hold a public hearing to receive input prior to <br />considering the proposed changes. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Hold public hearing. <br />Motion to consider adoption of TEXT2018-00003, TEXT2018-00004, amendments to <br />Chapter 2, Chapter 7, Chapter 10, Chapter 14 and Consistency Statement. <br />Page 228 <br />
