AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />ADDITION <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Acquisition of Property <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The property owners, Evangel Worship Center Inc., have agreed to the <br />purchase price and terms offered by the County for property and <br />buildings located at 484 Cabarrus Avenue West (County PINS 5620-44- <br />0037, 5620-44-2451, 562044-6644). A contract with terms is attached. <br />In addition, Susan Fearrington has prepared a recommendation on to <br />budget for this purchase. The due diligence period is 90 days and the <br />property owners have requested the option of an additional 90 days <br />after that period before closing. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the purchase contract between Cabarrus County and <br />Evangel Worship Center Inc.; and authorize the County Manager to <br />execute the contract on behalf of Cabarrus County, subject to review or <br />revisions by the County Attorney. <br />Motion to approve the necessary budget amendments as outlined by the <br />County Finance Director, Susan Fearrington. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />Page 103 <br />
