Finance —Funding for County Operations Center <br />Brief Summary: The County has issued a letter of Intent to purchase property for an Operations Center <br />located at_Cabarrus Avenue. The purchase price of $3,100,000 has been accepted and the <br />County will move forward with the purchase. The following is a recommendation for funding the <br />purchase: <br />Funds set aside In FY17 for an Operations Center $2,141,264 <br />Balance of Capital Reserve Funding based on 6-30-17, CAFR - 500,000 <br />Fund Balance allocation based on preliminary 6-30-18 CAFR 458.736 <br />Total S3,100,000 <br />Requested Action: Motion to approve the Operations Center purchase and authorize the Finance <br />Director to prepare the appropriate Budget Amendment and Project Ordinances using Capital Reserve <br />and Fund Balance funding. <br />Submitted by: Susan Fearrington, Finance Director <br />G-3 <br />Page 104 <br />
