December 18, 2017 (Regular Meeting)
Stephen M. Morris, Chairman
ATTEST:
/s/ Terri Lea Hunts
Clerk to the Board
(G-2) County Manager - Replacement of the Jail Dishwasher
Page 3909
Pam Dubois, Senior Deputy County Manager, reported the current dishwasher
has had significant downtime over the past two years, the most recent being
over a week which requires the jail staff to shift to Styrofoam dishware.
Infrastructure and Asset Management had the replacement budgeted for FY19, but
based on cost and downtime, staff feels it would be better to replace now. Ms.
Dubois stated this request was slated for the January meeting; however, the
dishwasher broke down again on December 11th and the current preventative
maintenance contractor for the kitchen equipment has recommended replacement.
She further stated the funds are provided by the Commissioners Contingency Fund
that was budgeted, but not needed for anticipated school growth in FY18.
A brief discussion ensued. During discussion, Kyle Bilafer, Area Manager
of Operations responded to questions from the Board.
UPON MOTION by Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Kiger and
unanimously carried, the Board adopted the budget amendment.
Djde 11Wle/:an 1 Amwmt>s 000uo
pope Nerd Dnd Rtlry Depntmmtjai
InhmalTnmfer NrMlnleWrtmml [ Transis, Between pepartmen6/Pomla ❑ u,swemmoal Request
purpose: Request to purchase a dishwasher replacement for Me jail using contingency funds that were slated for Ruder -.as.. forreaus [M1at wa nol
neMN.
TUM
FA[a.
Departpmen)account Name
Anima
gggated
descent
entreat
B judi
grew
W1
9
l:ameal
ls]O/9EE0 ngnq
LTW,2Td.DD
"jaccou
L6311x1A]
WI
9
n'K)"860 EquymcrtfiumlNre
- 75ACp.00
"'dad"
(H) APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMITTEES
(H-1) Appointments and Removals - Cabarris County Senior Centers Advisory
Council
Current Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory Council members Myra
Baumgardner, Sherman Childers, Margaret Dorton and Gail Linker have terms that
expire on December 31, 2017.
