January 16, 2018 (Regular Meeting) Page 3425 <br />(H-3) Appointments - Transportation Advisory Board <br />An application to serve on the Transportation Advisory Board has been <br />received from Michelle Dietrich. Ms. Dietrich is employed as a paramedic with <br />Cabarrus County EMS (Emergency Medical Services) and is eligible to fill the <br />vacant Cabarrus EMS position. Ms. Dietrich resides in Mecklenburg County. Ao <br />exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed <br />for her. <br />UPON MOTION by Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Michelle Dietrich to the Transportation <br />Advisory Board as the Cabarrus EMS representative to complete an unexpired term <br />ending June 30, 2019; including an exception to the "residency" provision of <br />the Appointment Policy. <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(I-1) HOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons <br />None. <br />(I-2) Cabarrus County Tourism Authority FY17 Year End Financials <br />The Board received the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority's FY17 year-end <br />financial activities report. No action was required of the Board. <br />(I-3) County Manager - Monthly Building Activity Reports <br />The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report <br />for December 2017, and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review <br />Summary for December 2017 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No <br />action was required of the Board. <br />(I-3) County Manager - Monthly New Development Report <br />The Board received the monthly new development report for informational <br />purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br />(I-4) Economic Development Corporation - December 2017 Monthly Summary <br />The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) <br />monthly report for the month of December as part of the Agenda. No action was <br />required of the Board. <br />(1-5) Finance - Monthly Financial Update <br />The Board received the monthly financial update for informational <br />purposes.
