January 16, 2018 (Regular Meeting) Page 3425 (H-3) Appointments - Transportation Advisory Board An application to serve on the Transportation Advisory Board has been received from Michelle Dietrich. Ms. Dietrich is employed as a paramedic with Cabarrus County EMS (Emergency Medical Services) and is eligible to fill the vacant Cabarrus EMS position. Ms. Dietrich resides in Mecklenburg County. Ao exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. UPON MOTION by Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Michelle Dietrich to the Transportation Advisory Board as the Cabarrus EMS representative to complete an unexpired term ending June 30, 2019; including an exception to the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy. (I) REPORTS (I-1) HOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons None. (I-2) Cabarrus County Tourism Authority FY17 Year End Financials The Board received the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority's FY17 year-end financial activities report. No action was required of the Board. (I-3) County Manager - Monthly Building Activity Reports The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report for December 2017, and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review Summary for December 2017 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (I-3) County Manager - Monthly New Development Report The Board received the monthly new development report for informational purposes. No action was required of the Board. (I-4) Economic Development Corporation - December 2017 Monthly Summary The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) monthly report for the month of December as part of the Agenda. No action was required of the Board. (1-5) Finance - Monthly Financial Update The Board received the monthly financial update for informational purposes. No action was required of the Board.
