Both Ms. Eakins and Mr. Conrado do not wish to be considered <br />for another term due to work/family-commitments. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board removed Teresa Dakins and Keith Conrade from the <br />Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee roster and thanked them for their <br />service. <br />(H-2) Appointments - Agricultural Advisory Board <br />The terms of appointment on the Agricultural Advisory Board for Tommy <br />Porter and Leslie Cook expired January 31, 2018. Both have served on this board <br />since 2012. An exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment <br />Policy will be needed for them. A letter of recommendation from the Cooperative <br />Extension Director regarding their reappointments was provided to the Board. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Tommy Porter and Leslie Cook to the <br />Agricultural Advisory Board for three-year terms ending January 31, 2021; <br />including an exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment <br />Policy for Mr. Porter and Ms. Cook. <br />(H-3) Appointments and Removals - Cabarrus County Youth Commission <br />The following appointments are recommended by the Cabarrus County Youth <br />Commission: <br />• Brandon Gillespie - Cox Mill High School <br />• Lance Cagle - Central Cabarrus High School <br />Melia Eaton, Mount Pleasant High School representative, and Amaya <br />Williams, Cox Mill High School representative, have resigned from their <br />positions on the commission. Mackay Burke, Mount Pleasant High School <br />representative, has not been able to meet the attendance policy. It is requested <br />to remove them from the roster. A letter regarding recommendations for <br />appointments and removals to the Youth Commission was provided to the Board. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Brandon Gillespie to the Cabarrus <br />County Youth Commission as a Cox Mill High School representative for a term <br />ending June 30, 2019. <br />
