BE IT ALSO ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Development Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: RENUMBER AND REVISE the Table of Contents and page numbers in the Cabarrus County Development Ordinance to correspond to the text changes as needed. Morris, Chairman Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners ATTEST: /s/ Terri Lea Hugie Terri Lea Hugie, Clerk to the Board (G-2) Finance - Acceptance of Construction Bid for a new Southwest Area Elementary School for Cabarrus County Schools Tim Lowder, Cabarrus County School (CCS) Executive Director, presented a request for acceptance of a construction bid for a new southwest area elementary school in the amount of $28,911,578. He stated this is also being presented to the Cabarrus County Board of Education tonight for approval and requested the Board of Commissioners accept the construction bid subject to approval by the Cabarrus County Board of Education. A discussion ensued. During discussion, Mr. Lowder responded to questions from the Board. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the construction bid for a new Cabarrus County southwest area elementary school subject to approval by the Cabarrus County Board of Education. (G-3) Board of Commissioners - Resolution Amending the Board of Commissioners' 2018 Meeting Schedule Chairman Morris announced adoption of a resolution is required in order to add a joint meeting with the Cabarrus County Board of Education to their meeting schedule. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Kiger and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the resolution. Resolution No. 2018-09 Resolution Amending the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners' 2018 Meeting Schedule WHEREAS, on December 18, 2017, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners adopted a meeting schedule for calendar year 2018, which sets forth the dates, times and locations of various official county meetings; and WHEREAS, the Board desires to convene for the Commissioners/School Board Budget Review inviting the Cabarrus County School Board to join them from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018 in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners hereby amends its 2018 Meeting Schedule as follows: 1. The Board of Commissioners will hold the Commissioners/School Board Budget Review from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on April 23, 2018 in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina. ADOPTED this 16'h day of April, 2018.
