Kristin Jones, Budget and Performance Manager, presented a spreadsheet that contained updates and changes from the prior budget meeting on May 22, 2018. The proposed changes were as follows: • Increase the FY19 dues for NCACC • Payroll changes • Add a Crisis Support Counselor for the Department of Human Services (Mike Downs, County Manager, commented on the position) • Increase for food contract for the Sheriff's office • Decrease in travel costs for the Sheriff's Office • Update tax valuation information • Salary adjustments The new proposed FY19 budget would be $255,617,652 Ms. Jones, also reviewed the costs for Sheriff's Office School Resource Officers (SRO) for the elementary, middle and high schools in the County's jurisdiction. She further reviewed the offset of costs from the SRO grant.
