July 18, 2018 (Cabarrus Summit) <br />Page 3643 <br />Chief Gary Gacek announced the Concord Police Department just published <br />their 2017 report and it is available on their website. He discussed statistics <br />for the Concord Police Department and recruitment issues within the Department. <br />He also reported that crime in the area is on a downward trend. <br />A discussion ensued following the presentations with Sheriff Riley, Chief <br />Chavis and Chief Gacek responding to a variety of questions. <br />Wrap-up <br />Chairman Morris thanked attendees for participating and commented on <br />positive comparisons. He stated this is the fourth year the County has held <br />these summits and noted how beneficial they have been to the community.
