August 20, 2018 (Regular Meeting) Page 3654 <br />The Board have consulted their schedules and September 12, 2018 has been <br />selected to hold the Cabarrus Summit 3rd Quarterly Meeting in Concord at the <br />Concord Police Station and December 12, 2018 has been selected to hold the <br />Cabarrus Summit 4th Quarterly Meeting in Kannapolis at Kannapolis City Hall. <br />The attached resolution approves the updated meeting schedule. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the resolution. <br />Resolution No. 2018-14 <br />Resolution Amending the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners' <br />2018 Meeting Schedule <br />Whereas, on December 18, 2017, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />adopted a meeting schedule for calendar year 2018, which sets forth the dates, <br />times and locations of various official county meetings; <br />Whereas, the Board desires to hold a summit, at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, <br />September 12, 2018 at the Concord Police Station in Concord, North Carolina; <br />and <br />Whereas, the Board desires to hold a summit at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, <br />December 12, 2018 at Kannapolis City Hall in Kannapolis, North Carolina; <br />Now, therefore be it resolved, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />hereby amends its 2018 Meeting Schedule as follows: <br />1. The Board of Commissioners will hold the Cabarrus Summit 2018 <br />3rd Quarterly Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on September 12, 2018 at the <br />Concord Police Station in Concord, North Carolina. <br />2. The balance is made up of $100,000 in funding <br />received late in the fiscal year for a handrail project at Concord High School <br />and $6,400 in funds for the purchase and installation of mobile units which <br />will be completed in August. The school system is submitting a request to have <br />the funds reappropriated to FY19.
