November 19, 2018 (Regular Meeting) Page 3757 WHEREAS, on December 18, 2017, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners adopted a meeting schedule for calendar year 2018, which sets forth the dates, times and locations of various official county meetings; WHEREAS, the Board scheduled the December 12, 2018 summit, at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Kannapolis City Hall in Kannapolis, North Carolina; and WHEREAS, the venue needs to be changed to the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, North Carolina; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners hereby amends its 2018 Meeting Schedule as follows: 1. The Board of Commissioners will hold the Cabarrus Summit 2018 4th Quarterly Summit at 6:00 p.m. on December 12, 2018 at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, North Carolina. It is requested to remove their names from the roster. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board removed Maryam Kazempour and Ann Holland from the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee roster and thanked them for their service. (14-2) Appointments (Removals) - Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee Linda Barnhardt's term on the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee ended October 31, 2018. She has served on this Committee since 2011. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board removed Linda Barnhardt from the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee roster and thanked her for her service. (H-3) Appointments and Removals - Cabarrus County Youth Commission The following youth commissioners need to be removed from the Cabarrus County Youth Commission roster due to high school graduation: Jasmine Lewter - A.L. Brown High School Devin Mullins - Concord High School Noorpur Parikh - Early College High School Lauren Martin - Hickory Ridge High School Additionally, Mariah-Sydney Steele has not met the attendance requirement set forth in the bylaws. The 2018-2019 Cabarrus County Youth Commission has been very active and recommends the following students to be appointed for two-year terms. A letter in regards to the Youth Commission's recommendation is included in the Agenda.
