December 17, 2018 (Regular Meeting) Page 3779 <br />Poole currently serves as the representative for Cabarrus County and <br />Commissioner Morris serves as the alternate. <br />UPON NOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Susie Morris, Planning and zoning <br />Manager, as the Cabarrus County TCC representative and Phil Collins, Senior <br />Planner, as the alternate representative for one-year terms ending December 31, <br />2019. <br />UPON NOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Commissioner Poole as the regular <br />and appointed Commissioner Kiger as the alternate member from the BOC to the <br />TAC for one-year terms ending December 31, 2019. <br />(H-2) Appointments - Human Services Advisory Board <br />The terms of service for Anne Laukaitis and Anthony White on the Human <br />Services Advisory Board expire December 31, 2018. Both are willing to serve <br />another term. Letters of recommendation were provided in the agenda. <br />Vice Chairman Honeycutt MOVED to reappoint Anne Laukaitis and Anthony <br />White to the Human Service Advisory Board for two-year terms ending December <br />31, 2020. Commissioner Kiger seconded the motion. <br />Following a brief discussion, the MOTION unanimously carried. <br />(H-3) Appointments - NC 73 Council of Planning Member Appointments <br />Each year, the Board of Commissioners has to appoint or reappoint <br />representatives to the NC 73 Council of Planning. <br />Staff respectfully requests that Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning <br />Manager, be reappointed as the Cabarrus County representative and that Phil <br />Collins, Senior Planner, be reappointed as the alternate representative. <br />The Board of Commissioners will also need to appoint or reappoint a <br />commission member to serve on the NC73 COP, along with an alternate. <br />Commissioner Honeycutt currently serves as the representative for Cabarrus <br />County and Commissioner Poole serves as the alternate. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Susie Morris, Planning and zoning <br />Manager, as the Cabarrus County representative and Phil Collins, Senior Planner, <br />as the alternate representative for one-year terms ending December 31, 2019. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Shue, seconded by Commissioner Kiger and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Vice Chairman Honeycutt as the <br />regular member and Commissioner Poole as the alternate member for the Board of <br />Commissioners to the NC73 Council of Planning for one-year terms ending December <br />31, 2019. <br />(H-4) Appointments and Removals Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory <br />Council <br />The terms of appointment on the Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory <br />Council for Toni Swick and Ella Walters expire December 31, 2018. Ms. Swick <br />would like to serve another term. Ms. Walters is not eligible to serve another <br />term at this time. Ms. Swick also serves on the Adult Care Home Community <br />Advisory Committee. An exception to the "service on multiple boards" provision <br />of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. <br />Additionally, Norvel Johnson has resigned from his position on the <br />Council. It is requested to remove his name from the roster. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board removed Ella Walters and Norvel Johnson from the <br />Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory Council roster and thanked them for <br />their service. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Kiger <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Toni Swick to the Cabarrus County <br />Senior Centers Advisory Council for a three-year term ending December 31, 2021; <br />including an exception to the "service on multiple boards" provision of the <br />Appointment Policy. <br />
