Neighborhood Meeting Informationand minutes <br /> <br />Intent of Zoning Districts <br />PROPOSED OVERLAY DISTRICT: Mobile Home Overlay 2 District (MH-2) <br />The purpose of the MH-2 district is to provide for the principal use of land developed in <br />harmony with the Underlying Zoning District regulations; however, permitting the <br />substitution of a Manufactured Home as a Principal Building,provided the specific design <br />and/or installation regulations appearing in section 4-28 are met. <br /> <br />EXISTING DISTRICT: LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (LDR) <br />This district is designed to provide permanent protection for those who want to live in a <br />low-density residential environment. The district, while focused on single-family <br />residential development, is designed to allow a wide variety of residential types. <br /> <br />RATIONALE <br />This land use district was created as a direct result of the County's systematic area <br />planning process. As a reaction to the growth of the past decade (as much as 80% in some <br />townships) many residents are anxious to see their areas retain the appeal that inspired <br />the resident to make his or her original investment. This district helps implement a growth <br />management philosophy before the fact, rather than after.
