Pleasant, spoke on agriculture at the <br />county fair. <br />Naomi Hatchell, a resident at 1804 Clay Street, Kannapolis, commented on <br />Constitution Day. <br />There was no one else to address the Board, therefore Chairman Morris <br />closed that portion of the meeting. <br />(E) OLD BUSINESS <br />None. <br />(F) CONSENT <br />(F-1) Appointments (Removals) - Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) <br />The JCPC recommended the following new appointments for currently vacant <br />terms, which will expire June 30, 2026: Megan Huffman as a Substance Abuse <br />Professional and Roshini Selvakumar as a Youth under Age 21. <br />The JCPC recommended the following members be reappointed to two-year <br />terms to expire September 30, 2026: Gayle Alston, Megan Baumgardner, Travis <br />Burke, Ashley Fitch, Amy Jewell, and Malisha Ross. <br />The JCPC recommended acceptance of Jacob Went ink"%�ignation, Active <br />Living and Parks Department Representative. <br />Lastly, the JCPC recommended the exchange of seats currently held by Megan <br />Baumgardner (Member -at -Large) and Heather Mobley (Juvenile Defense Attorney). <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Furr and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Megan Huffman to fill the vacant seat <br />for Substance Abuse Professional and Roshini Selvakumar to fill the vacant seat <br />for Youth under Age 21. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Furr and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed the following members to terms to <br />expire September 30, 2026: Gayle Alston, Megan Baumgardner, Travis Burke, Ashley <br />Fitch, Amy Jewell, and Malisha Ross; including an exception to the multiple <br />provision of the Appointment Policy for Ms. Alston, Ms. Baumgardner and Ms. <br />Jewell and an exception the residency provision of the Appointment Policy for <br />Ms. Alston and Ms. Ross. k <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Furr and <br />unanimously carried, the Board removed Jacob Wentink from the JCPC roster and <br />thanked him for his service. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Furr and <br />unanimously carried, the Board exchanged the seats and their respective terms <br />currently held by Megan Baumgardner and Heather Mobley, including an exception <br />to the multiple board provision of the Appointment Policy for Ms. Baumgardner <br />and an exception to the residency provision of the Appointment policy for Ms. <br />Mobley. <br />(F-2) Appointments - Library Board of Trustees <br />The following appointments to the Library Board of Trustees were <br />recommended and requested: Kelly Stout to replace Geraldine Depken as a <br />Kannapolis representative, Lori Clay to replace Pam Emmons as the Midland <br />representative and Elizabeth Eaise to replace Diane Browder -Boswell as a <br />Kannapolis representative. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Furr and <br />unanimously carried, the Board removed Geraldine Depken, Pam Emmons and Diane <br />Browder -Boswell from the Library Board of Trustees roster and thanked them for <br />their service. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Measmer, seconded by Commissioner Furr and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Kelly Stout as a Kannapolis <br />Representative to fill an expired term. Ms. Stout's appointment will expire <br />February 28, 2027; Lori Clay as the Midland Representative to fill an unexpired <br />Page 75 <br />
