July 1, 2024 (Work Session) Page <br />Chairman Morris advised every two years, North Carolina Association of <br />County Commissioners (NCACC) members engage in a process to determine the <br />legislative goals that are in the best interest of counties. The NCACC goals - <br />setting process begins in August of even -numbered years and consists of five <br />stages: beginning with the solicitation of county proposals and ending with the <br />adoption of the legislative agenda at the Legislative Goals Conference. <br />The submission deadline for legislative goals is August 23, 2024, and <br />goals submitted by or before the deadline will be referred to a steering <br />committee for review and consideration. <br />A discussion ensued. <br />4.14 BOC - Voting Delegate Designation for NCACC 117th Annual Conference <br />Chairman Morris announced The North Carolina Association of County <br />Commissioners, NCACC, will hold their 117th Annual Conference Business Session <br />in Forsyth County, August 8-10 with each county being entitled to one vote on <br />items that come before the membership. <br />In order to facilitate the voting process, the NCACC asks that each county <br />designate one voting delegate and one alternate voting delegate be chosen. <br />Chairman Morris volunteered to be the designated voting delegate. <br />5.
