Cato <br />Eyvonne S. McDaniel <br />ABSENT: <br />S. W. Colerider,Jr. <br />Baker Brooks <br />Marvin Smith <br />Archie Smith <br />J. L. Cochran <br />C. C. Rimer <br />C. William Cook <br />1. Vice-Chairman Lewis Patterson called the joint meeting of the District <br />Supervisors and Watershed Commissioners to order. Prayer was given <br />by Hugh D. Price. <br />2. CORRECTION TO THE FEBRUARY MINUTES: <br />Four of the Cabarrus District Supervisors received 10 year service <br />awards at the N. C. Annual meeting held in Wilmington, N. C. <br />Presentation of the awards were made for the Cabarrus County local <br />newspapers at the Cabarrus Soil and Water District Supervisors meeting <br />on February 13, 1974. (Mr. Colerider, Mr Pat t erson,Mr. Coltrane, Mr. Parker <br />3. Chairman's Report: <br />a. Vice-Chairman Patterson urged those present to attend the Area <br />VIII Spring meeting. As of this date, the time has not been <br />announced. <br />b. A report was made of the correspondence received in the District <br />office concerning the Agricultural Service Centers. <br />4. Treasurer's Report: <br />a. 2 NET CASH IN BANK <br />$3277.71 <br />2-9-74 State Association Dues $ 214.00 <br />3-1-74 NET CASH IN BANK 3063.71 <br />3277.71 - $3277.71 <br />b. Secretary L. D. Coltrane read a letter received from the N. C. <br />Association President, G. C. Palmer, explaining the new rates <br />for Annual District Dues adopted at the Annual meeting in <br />January 1974. <br />5. The District Conservationist gave the following report for FEBRUARY: <br />16 Radio Programs; 53 Cooperators assisted with 31 first visits; <br />5 Inventories and Evaluations; 30 requests for technical assistance; <br />li Landowners applying practices; 3 Conservation Plans: (F.J.James) <br />F�Mack Hager)and (Wayne Barbee); 3 Services on Resource Planning; <br />2 Units of Government assisted; 238 acres Pasture & Hayland Management; <br />
