'294 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in recessed <br />session in the Conference Room at the General Services Building in Concord, North <br />Carolina, on Monday, May 24, 1993, at 5:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Present - Chairman: Carolyn B. Carpenter <br /> Vice-Chairman: Kenneth F. Payne <br /> Commissioners: Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br /> Sue B. Casper <br /> Arne L. Fennel <br /> <br /> Also present were Mr. John V. Witherspoon, County Manager; Mr. Don <br />Moorhead, Personnel Director; Mr. John Day, Budget Officer; and Mrs. Frankie F. <br />Bonds, Clerk to the Board. <br /> <br />Executive Session - Personnel <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into executive session to discuss a <br />personnel matter. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Payne and <br />unanimously carried, the executive session was adjourned. <br /> <br />No report was filed on the executive session. <br /> <br />Selection of Auctioneer - Declaration of Surplus Property <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board selected AMC Auction & Appraisal Company, Inc. to <br />conduct the auction of surplus County property on June 26, 1993 at the <br />Fairgrounds. In addition, the Board designated John Brindle Wholesale, the <br />second name on the list of auctioneers, as the auctioneer if AMC Auction is <br />unavailable on June 26. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Chairman Carpenter and <br />unanimously carried, the Board declared the following property as surplus to the <br />needs of Cabarrus County and authorized the sale of the listed items by public <br />auction on June 26, 1993, at the Cabarrus County Fairgrounds.
