The Board of County Commissioners held their regular meeting Monday August 6, 1951 at l0 o' clock <br /> <br />A. M. ¥~ith the following members present: <br /> <br /> J. L~e White, chairman , Homer L. Fink, N. Smoot Lyles, P. Ernest Stallings <br /> and L. Bowman Barrier <br /> Absent; None <br /> <br />Motion by Nomer L. Fin~ seconded hy P. Ernest Stallings that petition for creation of Jackson Pare <br />Sanitary District be accepted. Voted and passed unamiously. <br /> <br />Motion by ~. S. Lyles seconded L. Bowman Barrier that the notice for creation of Jackson Park <br />Sanitary district be run in the Kannapolis paper for 4 weeks and the hearing be set for 4 P. M. <br />September 12 at Jackson Park School. Voted and passed unamiously. <br /> <br />Motion by ~M. Smoot Lyles seconded by P. E. Stallings that the following road petitions be ~mssed: <br />Tar and gravel road in No. 4 from Kings Street to Willow Drive. Length of road 6/10 miles. <br /> <br />Pave road in No. 4 from CentralAve to '~alter Ave, Gum St. and Miller Ave. <br /> <br />Black top ro~d in No. 4 Township from Shadybrook School to Kirkwood. Presley Church and known as <br /> <br />Clondale Avenue. <br /> <br />Hard surface McLain Road ~egiDming off Centergro~e Road to Fairview Ave. <br /> <br />Pave Fairview Ave beginning at Cannon Blvd and extending Eastward to where ti comes back in to <br /> <br />Cannon Blvd at Shinns Service Station. · <br /> <br />Open road in Township 5 from City limits to road connecting Mt. Pleasant and Salisbyry and know~ <br />as extension of Patterson St. One mile. ~'~· <br /> <br />Take over aud keep up road in No. 5 from Old Salisbury ro~d to I. O, Kisers farm ½ mile. <br /> <br />Road in No. ll from highway 29A to Shadow Drive be straightened, widened and bridge put in. ~ <br />Hardsurface road in No. 9 and l0 Township from Georgeville to Highway 27. <br /> <br />Take over and keep up, top soil, road in No. 6 Township starting at Sam Fisher house on Gold Hill <br />Road 9/10 mile. ~¥iden and surface with tar and gravel road in No. 6 Township from Gold Hill <br />road at Cline School to Rimertow~ on Rimer Faith Road. <br /> <br />Tar and rock road in No. ll Township from Mt. Pleasant Highway to Cold Springs road, Known as <br /> <br />Burnt Mill road. <br /> <br />Black top road in No. ll Township from south Union St. to Eastcliff Drive known as Woodland Drive <br /> <br />and Carolyn Drive. <br /> <br />Pave and hardsurface road in No. ll from 29A near Jackson Training School (circle) back to 29A. <br /> <br />Known as Circle Drive and Eastside Drive. <br /> <br />Oravel and maintain road in No. ll from Monroe Highway near Cold Water Baptist Church to dead end. <br /> <br />hnown as Ridge Drive. <br /> <br />Motion by L.
