The Board of county commissioners held thei~ regular meeting at the COurthouse at lOo,Clock on August 1, 1955 with ~he following members present: Chairman- J. Lee ~ite commissioners- L.Bowman Barrier, M. Smoot Lyles, W.F~ank McCray and P.E. Stallings Motion by p.E~nest stallings, seconded by Frank McCray that Bu~ Roberts be given free peddlers license on account of being physical disabled. Motion by L.Bowman Barrier, seconded by p. Ernest stallings that walter christy be given free p~iv~g~e,? license on account of bad health. Molion by Frank Mccray seconded by M.Smoot Lyles that the following road petitions be Dashed on: No. h Township- T~zkey Road- widen tar and gravel. No. 11 T~ship- ~zbee R~ extension-Genez~ m~n~inence. No. 4 To~ip- Ro~ z~ns ~zom ~z~ge zo~d ~o L. ~. H~locke~s home. ~den ~nd ~. h ~ship - ~11 T~ S~eet. p~ ~ Bzid~e ~d keep ~. Bowman Barrier ~d W.Fr~k McCray Absent: None The Charon announced tha~ this was the da~e and hour fixed by the Board for ~he public he~ing upon the orde~ entitled: "ORD~ AU~ORIZ~G $107,000 RE~D~G BONDS" and ~hat ~he B~rd would i~ediately hear ~y and all citizens ~d ~ayers who might desire pro, est against the issu~ce of said bonds. ..... No cit~en or ~a~ez .of~ ~a~Co~ty~_~eazed, ~her ~ person or_ by.attorney~ against the issu~ce ~ any of sa~ bonds, and the Clerk ~no~ced that no p~otest in writing, signed by ~y citizen or ta~ayer, had been p~esented. ~ Thereupon, upon motion of Com~ssioner W. Frank McCray, seconded by Co~issione~ P.Ernest ~ Stall~gs ~ carried, the o~der introduced ~d ~ssed on firs~ rearing on J~y 18, 1955 entitled: "ORDER AU~ORIZ~G $107,000 REF~D~IG ~NDS", was read a second time and placed upon its final passage. The vote ~on the final passage of said o~de~ was: ~es: Co~issioners J. Lee ~ite, M. Smoo~ Lyles, F.Ernes~ Siall~gs, L. Bow~Barrier ~d W. Fr~k McCray. Noes: None. The chairman then anno~ced that the order entitled: "ORDER AU~ORIZ~G $107,000 REF~D~G · ' BONDS" had passed.
