496 The Board of Commissioners for tbs County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, pursUant to adjou~nmer.t, met at 4.'00 O'clock P. M., Monday, January 19, 1 959, at Winecoff $chool, Cabarrus ~ounty, North' Ca! olina. P~esent: W. Fxank McCray, Chairman and Commissioners'. P.Ernest Stallings, M.Smoot Lyles, and ~.Guy Isenhoux. Absent: L.Bo~man Barrier; Also present: W.S. McKimmon and ~a~shall Staton representing the North Carolina ~tate Board of Health. At the hou~ of 4.'.00 o'clock P. M., the Chairman announced that, pursuant toa notice duly posted and.published, this was the date and hour fixed by t he Board of Co~missione~s and the State Health Director of the North Carolina State Board of Health for the joint public hearing concerning the annexation of the additional territory described in said notice to the Park~ood Sanitary District in Caba~us County. The Chairman announced that the Board of Commissioners and the ~epresentative of the ~tate Board of Health would immediately hea~ any and all f~eeholders and other interested persons concerning the annexation of such ad~onal, territory. No f~eeholde~ ox other int~exested person appeared, either in person or by attorney, to protest against the annexation of such additional territory to the Paxk~ood ~anita~y District, and the Clerk announced that no protest in ~iting, slg~edb~y any resident freeholder o~ other interested person, had been presented. Thereupon Commissioner M.Smoot Lyles introduced the following ~esolution which was read: RE~OLUTION CONCERNING THE ANNEXATION OF ADDITIONAL TERRITORY TO THE PARKWOOD SANITARY DISTNICT IN CA~A~RUS ~HE~EA~, a petition requesting the annexation of additional territory, described in said petition, to t he Park~ood Sanitary °ist~ict in C~ba~rus County and the holding of an.election upon the subject of such annexation within the territory proposed to be annexed has been presented to the Sanitary District Board of Park~oOd Sanitary District, the Board of Commissiormrs fc~ the County of Cabarrus and the North Carolina State Board of Health; and ~EREAS, the Sanitary DistrictBoard of said Parkwood Sanitary District has approved such petition; and ~F~FAS, on Decsmbez 6, 1958 a majority of the qualified zegistered voters within the boun- daries of the following BEGINNING at a point in the center of the %ncord-Kannapolis Highway, said point being 150 feet north of the no~thern boundaxy of Winecoff School ~oad, and running thence in two courses 150 feet f~om and parallel with the northern boundaxy of Winecoff School Road, South 89 degrees ~est 900 feet, South 55 degrees West 1170 feet mo~e o~ less to a point 150 feet north of the northern boundary of Winecoff School Road and 150 feet ~sst of the ~estern boundary of Linke~ Street extended; thence a line in two courses 150 feet from and parallel with the western boundary of Linker Street, South 21½ Deg~ees East 550 feet, South 29 degrees East 625 feet mo~e o~ less; thence a line 150 feet f~om and parallel with the southern boundary of Stewart Street North 72 1/2. degrees East 860 feet to a point 150 feet f~o~ the western boundary of School Street extended; thence a line 150 feet from and parallel extended South 20 degrees East ~90 feet; tM nce North 3~ 1/2 degrees East 550 feet mo~e o~ less; thence a line 250 feet from and parallel to the ~este~n boundary of the Concord Kannapolis Highway North 15 1/2 degrees WeSt 650 feet; thenc, e North 85 1/2 degrees East 265 feet to a point in the center of the Concord Kannapolis Highway, thence with the center of said Highway No~th Ih 1/2 degrees ~est 900 feet more or less to the point of Beginning, ~ho voted on the proposition of the annexation 'of said territory to said territory to said
