The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at their regular meeting Monday, <br /> <br />June 7, 1965. <br /> <br />Present: Chairman, C. Frank James <br /> Commissioners, Oren Hill, McNeil Petrea, Smoot Lyles, Frank McCray <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order by Chairman James. Prayer by Rev. James Barksdale. <br /> <br />Mr. Ray Allen, Farm Agent requested commissioners accept the resignation of Mrs. <br />Marie Plott as Secretary to the Extension Home Economics Agents. Petrea made <br />motion, seconded by Lyles to accept this resignation. He also requested Edna <br />Cline be hired as a replacement. Hill made motion, seconded by Petrea to grant <br />this request. ¥ote carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. Barbee requested commissioners give some help on the upkeep of Union <br />Cemetery. Commissioners agreed the four churches which own the cemetery should <br />support it. <br /> <br /> Mr. Becke~dite requested the resolutions found on pages 378 thru 381 <br /> <br />to be recorded in the minutes. <br /> <br /> Petrea made motion, seconded by Lyles to accept ammendment in lieu of <br /> <br />providing tax records by townships by the four parts as set forth in sub section <br />A of GS 105-323, the Board of County Commissioners gives its approval for keeping <br />records as divided under sub section B & C of the sub section. <br /> <br /> Petrea made motion, seconded by Hill to approve the following road petitions:! <br /> <br /> Minnie Ave.- .... T-4 Request for Addition <br /> Manor Ave.- ..... ~-11 Request for Addition <br /> Maple, Dr., William Dr., Oak Dr.---T-2 ..... Request for Additon <br /> Road between Hwy. 601 and Mt. Request for speed sig~ <br /> <br /> The Board of County Commissioners adopted the policy of Cabarrus County <br />Mental Health Clinic to operate without racial discrimination. <br /> <br /> A letter was received from J. P.
