~ A call meeting of the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners was held '~ <br />oh February 10, 1969, at the Courthouse. Present were Chairman C. Frank James, <br />Commissioners: .Dr. R. B. Rankin, Jr. S. glenn Hawfield, Jr., C. ~IcNeil Petrea, <br />Absent: F. J. Beasley, Jr. <br /> <br /> County Buildin§ and Plumbing Ihspector Charles B. Irvin presented a <br />schedule of recommended fees for building and plumbing inspections to be <br />effective I~Iarch 1, 1~6c). The fee schedule was unanimously adopted upon motion <br />by Rankin and seconded by Hawfield, with the following exclusion: no inspect- <br />ion would be required where construction work is done under direct supervision <br />of an architect or professional engineer; no inspection required on repair Jobs <br />of $500,00 or less. Permits are required in any case. <br /> <br /> The Board instructed the County IVanager to check oh the amount required <br />for a surety bond for the inspector and to write letters to all County Sanitary <br />Districts and the Town of l~It. Pleasant regarding ptlmbing and building inspect- <br />ion within their boundaries. <br /> <br /> The Board authorized office facilities to be set up on the second floor <br />of the Courthouse Annex and requested the build in0 inspector to obtain the <br />assistance of personnel in the tax supervisor's office until the employment <br /> <br />of a full time secretary could be Justified. <br /> The resolution setting forth these fees appear on page %~ and <br />becomes a part of these minutes. <br /> Havin0 no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
