854 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, <br /> <br />North Carolina, met in adjourned regular session at the County <br />Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina, the regular place of <br />meeting, at 10 o' clock, A.M. on April 19, 1971. <br /> <br /> 'Present: Chairman - S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners'- C. Frank James, Charles <br /> <br />Gallimore, dohn Hammett <br /> <br /> Absent: Robert A. McClary <br /> <br /> The Chairman announced that this was the date and hour <br /> <br />fixed by the Board for the public hearing upon the order entitled: <br /> <br /> "ORDER AUTHORIZING $220,000 SCHOOL BUILDING BONDS", and <br /> <br />that the Board would immediately hear any and all citizens and <br />taxpayers who might desire to protest against the issuance of <br />said bonds. <br /> <br /> No citizen or taxpayer of the County appeared, either <br /> <br />in person or by attorney, to protest against the issuance of any <br />of said bonds, and the Clerk announced that no protest in writing, <br />signed by any citizen or taxpayer, had been presented. <br /> <br /> Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded <br /> <br />by Commissioner Gallimore and carried, the order introduced and <br /> <br />passed on first reading on April 5, 1971, entitled: 'IORDER <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING $220,000 SCHOOL BUILDING BONDS" was read a second ' <br /> <br />time and placed upon its final passage. The vote upon the final <br /> <br />passage of said order was: <br /> <br /> Ayes: commissioners - S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr., C. Frank <br /> <br />James, Charles Gallimore, dohn Hammett <br /> <br /> Noes: None <br /> <br /> The Chairman then announced that the order entitled: <br /> <br />"ORDER AUTHORIZING $220,000 SCHOOL BUILDING BONDS" had passed. <br /> <br /> The Clerk was thereupon directed to publish said order <br /> <br />in The Daily !..~_ependent, once in each of two successive weeks, <br />and to publish at the foot of said order the appended note as <br />required by The County Finance Act, as amended. <br /> <br /> After the first reading of the proposed, ordinance of the <br /> <br />County of Cabarrus, North Carolina establishing minimum lot <br />sizes for residential uses, Hammett made motion that the spaces <br />be filled in as follows: Section 4, B-4 15,000 B-5 10,000 and <br />B-6 3,600 and that the public hearing be held May 3 at 2:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> (to Page 860) <br /> <br /> <br />
