Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> Troy R. Cook <br /> <br /> The invocation was given by the Reverend Ned Roy Christy <br /> <br />of White Park Baptist Church. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />Milloway and carried, the minutes were approved. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Hammett and unanimously carried, a budget revision in the amount <br /> of $7,800.00 to the Maternal and Child Health Program funded by <br /> the Division of Health Services was approved. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Cook and unanimously carried, the Health Department will submit <br /> an application for Cabarrus County to be considered for the Womens, <br /> Infants, and Childrens (WIC) Program. <br /> <br /> The following bids were received for the demolition of Old <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Home Building "B": <br /> <br />BIDDER <br /> <br />D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co. <br />J.A. Johnson Construction Co. <br />Joyner Wrecking Co. <br />Palmer Mountain Farms, Inc. <br />Lewis Parker <br />Roger D. Russell <br /> <br />BID AMOUNT BID BOND <br /> <br />$4,250.00 X <br />$8,000.00 X <br />$4,600.00 X <br />$4,975.00 X <br />$2,800.00 Cash <br />$2,900.00 X <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cook and unanimously carried, the demolition of Building "B" was <br />awarded to the low bidder, Lewis Parker. The amount of the bid <br />plus the architect's fee was appropriated from Commissioner's <br />Miscellaneous Expense Fund No. 10-410-57 to Maintenance and Repairs <br />of Buildings and Grounds Fund No. 10-500-15. The cornerstone <br />of Building "B" is to be salvaged and placed in the new building <br />if possible. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway and seconded by Commissioner <br /> McClary and carried unanimously, the County Manager was authorized <br /> to enter into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce <br /> <br /> <br />
