578 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in regular <br />session at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina, on Monday, <br />June 4, 1984, at 9:30 A.M. <br /> Present - Chairman: James W. Lentz <br /> Commissioners: Archie Y. Barnhardt <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> J. Harold Nash <br /> Kenneth F. Payne <br /> The invocation was given by Reverend Worth Sweet, Associate Pastor of <br />Central United Methodist Church in Concord. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt <br />and unanimously carried, the minutes of May 21, May 24, and May 29, 1984, <br />were approved as written. <br /> The Board reviewed the recommendation from the City Manager of Concord <br />for the appointment of Mr. James M. Byrd of 251 Lenhaven Drive as the <br />extra-territorial jurisdiction representative on the Concord Planning and <br />Zoning Commission. This recommendation was received in response to the <br />request made by the Board of Commissioners at the meeting on May 21, 1984. <br /> Commissioner Nash nominated Mr. James M. Byrd for appointment to the <br />Concord Planning and Zoning Commission. Also, in consideration for appoint- <br />ment to the Concord Planning and Zoning Commission was Mrs. Frances B. <br />Sehorn who was nominated by Commissioner Barnhardt at a budget meeting on <br />May 24, 1984. Voting for the nominees was as follows.. <br /> <br />Voting for Mrs. Frances B. Sehorn - Commissioners Barnhardt and <br /> Milloway <br />Voting for Mr. James M. Byrd - Commissioners Payne and Nash and <br /> Chairman Lentz <br /> <br /> Mr. James M.
