231 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in recessed <br />session in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental Center <br />in Concord, North Carolina on Thursday, June 10, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present - Chairman: Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br /> Commissioners: Carolyn B. Carpenter <br /> Sue B. Casper <br /> Coy C. Privette <br />kbsent - Vice Chairman: Arne L. Fennel <br /> <br /> Also present were Mr. Frank W. Clifton, Jr., County Manager; Mr. John <br />Day, Deputy County Manager for Operations; Mr. Don Moorhead, Human Resources <br />Director; Mrs. Cathie K. Straub, Budget Officer; and Mrs. Frankie F. Bonds, <br />Clerk to the Board. <br /> <br />Chairman Barnhart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />July Reqular Meetinq <br /> <br /> Due to the expected absence of one or more Board members during July, <br />Mr. Clifton proposed a "limited" agenda for the regular meeting on July 12, <br />1999. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Agenda for the <br />regular meeting on July 12, 1999. <br /> <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> JULY 12, 1999 <br /> 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER BY THE VICE CHAIRMAN <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />APPROVAL OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />INFORM3~L PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Fire District Tax Rates <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton distributed a summary sheet showing the tax rates and <br />anticipated tax levy for each of the fire districts. He reported the <br />Harrisburg Fire Department has requested a one-cent tax increase to provide <br />funding to hire full-time firemen. <br /> <br />Budqet Amendment - New Southwest Hiqh School Fundinq <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton asked the Board to consider approval of a budget amendment <br />to record the budget for the $30 million Installment Payment Revenue Bond <br />Fund for the new high school.
