Planning and Zoning Commission
~arch 19, 1992

Page 14

Mr. Morton said for the time being, he would like to use
red tip bush or whatever the board recommends. In the
future he would like to put a fence up and maybe use
green shading around it.

Mr. Amos asked Mr. Downs in his recommendations, he
recommended screening for cars/motorcycles waiting for
repair, did he have any particular height in mind for
that?

Mr. Downs stated the particular height would be in
conformance with what the ordinance requires.

Mr. Morton said the board mentioned something about
signs. He said he would prefer to have his sign 12 feet
in height.

Mr. Downs said the maximum height would be 15 feet.

Chairperson Randall said she would like to note one of
the recommendations is decorative trees across the front
of the property in addition to screening for the cars.
In her opinion there needs to be some beautification
across the front, the privacy fence is a good idea to
screen the cars that are waiting, but just to make it
more aesthetically pleasing to that community there,
there needs to be some kind 'of decorative trees and
shrubs around the front.

Chairperson Randall closed the public hearing on Conditional Use
Applicant 170(C).

Mr. Olio-Mills said he would like for whoever makes the
motion to give the applicant the oPtion of gravel or
paving, would that serve the same purpose as a parking
lot.

Chairperson Randall said no, at least not coming onto
Flowe Store Road. But a place that is going to be
repairing vehicles need at least some pavement "x" number
of feet off of Flowe Store Road.

Mr. Olio-Mills said in looking at the video, the cost on
that is going to be very expensive. He would not like to
put that restriction on the applicant to put out that
much money to pave the whole length of the lot. He would
like to leave it up to the applicant and make it less
restrictive, but restrictive enough for the in and out
look.
