<br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: SUPPLEMENTAL REQUEST
<br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Request from Cabarrus County Schools for $125,000 for
<br />engineering fees to continue fast-tracking of new high school in the
<br />northwest area. This is the balance of the funding needed for this project
<br />through June 30, 2007.

<br />DeSales Wagster, Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau,
<br />presented a PowerPoint presentation. Highlights of the presentation included
<br />the following: the Bureau's Vision and Mission statements, the Bureau's
<br />Board of Directors, Visitor Tax Pays for Bureau, County, Citizens and
<br />Businesses Benefit, Tourism Snapshots, Board Approved Budget Amendments for
<br />January-March, 2007, Why did the CVB Board Approve Budget Amendments and an
<br />upcoming trade show schedule. She also reviewed the four budget amendments,
<br />submitted for approval, totaling $293,609.00.
<br />Commissioner White- MOVED to adopt all four budget amendments.
<br />Commissioner Privette seconded the MOTION.
<br />Commissioner Mynatt asked to be recused from the vote if local car
<br />dealers will be asked to bid on the sport utility vehicle.
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Privette
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board recused Commissioner Mynatt from the vote.
<br />The MOTION carried with Chairman Carruth, Vice Chairman Juba and
<br />Commissioners Privette and White voting for and Commissioner Mynatt
<br />abstaining.

<br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: SUPPLEMENTAL REQUEST
<br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: This budget amendment is to transfer funds from the CVB's
<br />appropriated fund balance to increase budgeted line items for the following:
<br />a Marketing Manager, correction of January BA #278 for a Convention Services
<br />Manager, to adjustcurrent CVB salaries in accordance with industry standards
<br />per DMAI, and to sponsor the Great Race. The CVB Board approved these
<br />transfers in December and January. Minutes of the meetings are attached. See
<br />attached spreadsheet for breakdown of salary line items.
