NIGHT TIME DRIVING PROCEDURES <br />Several hazards associated with night driving are list below: <br />• Reduced visibility <br />• Glare <br />• The need for increased reaction time <br />• An increased number of tired and intoxicated drivers <br />Procedures for driving at night: <br />• Inspect and clean your headlights, taillights, windshield, clearance lights, reflectors and turn <br />signals. <br />• Increase your space cushion by driving a slightly slower speed than you usually would <br />during the day. <br />• Turn your lights on early and avoid the glare of oncoming bright lights by watching the right <br />edge of the roadway. If someone is needlessly using bright light, do not turn your bright <br />lights on in response to their lights. <br />• Make sure that your speed does not overdrive your headlight visibility. <br />• Do not break more than necessary.
