Cabarrus County annually allocates Domestic Violence funds that can be utilized to <br /> help alleviate a domestic violence situation. <br /> G. Maintenance of Effort (MOE) <br /> The following activities, staff, and services will be funded through Maintenance of <br /> Effort funding: <br /> Activity Staff Services <br /> All activities related All Family Case Management, work <br /> to Employment Support Specialist related and participation <br /> Services (exception: Staff expenses, transportation <br /> services to non- <br /> custodial parents) <br /> Activities related to Family Support Initial and ongoing eligibility <br /> Work First eligibility Specialist Staff determination <br /> Activities related to Family Support Emergency Assistance, CIP to <br /> Crisis services Specialist in families, Service Intake to <br /> Crisis/Work First families, Domestic Violence <br /> Unit assistance <br /> Child Care subsidy Family Support Child Care for Work First <br /> and Administration Specialist and families <br /> other eligibility <br /> staff of DHS <br /> Children's Services Child Welfare Foster Care-Case <br /> Staff Management, CPS-Intake and <br /> Investigative Assessment <br /> V. Emergency Assistance <br /> A. General Emergency Assistance (EA) policy: <br /> Cabarrus County DSS will operate an Emergency Assistance program that is <br /> designed to get families through a crisis situation. It will only get them through the <br /> crisis, and it will be up to the family in consultation with social work staff, to build <br /> upon the EA, and use it to move them toward a more stable living situation. EA will <br /> be for short-term assistance only and will meet that guideline in that it is: <br /> • Non-recurring, and designed to deal with a specific episode of need. <br /> • Not intended to meet recurring or ongoing needs. <br /> The Cabarrus County Department of Social Services will allocate funds from the Budget <br /> for this program up to a predetermined amount yearly. <br /> The main aspects of the Cabarrus County EA program are as follows: <br /> 1. All funding for EA will be used for a documented crisis situation.
