In order to receive EA,there must be a minor child residing in the home. The <br /> definition of age, kinship, and citizenship will be the same as in the Work First <br /> program requirements. <br /> 3. Eligibility for EA will be based on 150% of the Federal poverty level. See <br /> income table below: <br /> Family size* 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 <br /> ax. The base period for computing gross income is the month prior to the <br /> application for EA, unless a change has occurred in hours, employment, or pay. <br /> 5. The cash payment limit using County funding (EA, or 200%)will be limited to <br /> a total amount not exceeding $500.00 in any 12-month period, per household. <br /> Example: Household received$100.00 from Emergency Assistance therefore <br /> household cannot receive funds exceeding $400.00 from other county funding <br /> (EA or 200%) The applicant must be within the 150%poverty limit, except in <br /> the case of 200% funds. Consecutive year beginning from when last EA <br /> application was taken. All payments will be made directly to the provider. <br /> 6. Payment will not be authorized for expenses that have been previously paid for <br /> under the Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) for the household during the 12 <br /> month period. (Household received assistance with electric, natural/propane <br /> gas, fuel oil/kerosene expenses under CIP therefore county funding can't be <br /> utilized for those expenses). Exceptions must be approved by supervisor and/or <br /> program administrator. Expenses not normally covered under CIP (rent& <br /> water) could be authorized if all other eligibility criteria are met. <br /> 7. Payment will not be authorized for heating or cooling expenses during the Crisis <br /> Intervention Program season from 200% funds. 200% funds will only be <br /> authorized when natural gas is used as a cooking source when Crisis <br /> Intervention Program funds are unavailable. <br /> 8. The family budget must show that the family can maintain ongoing bills once <br /> EA is given. If this is not the case, EA may not be appropriate. <br /> 9. Each applicant for EA shall furnish and/or assist the worker to verify his <br /> eligibility by presenting documentary proof where required verifying needs, <br /> income, the availability of other resources, and any other data required for <br /> eligibility determination as follows: <br /> Page 15 1 19 <br /> Attachment number 1 \n <br /> F-7 Page 88 <br />
