• Blood Borne Pathogen refers primarily to human bodily fluids, including but not limited to <br />saliva, vomit, urine, and feces. <br />• Attendant is defined as an individual who is authorized to ride with and provide assistance <br />to a CCTS passenger. <br />• Inbound Trip refers to the trip from the passengers authorized pick up location to his <br />appointment destination and is authorized for one -way travel between two points. <br />• Outbound Trip refers to the return trip from the passenger's appointment destination to <br />home or return destination and is authorized for one -way travel between two points. <br />• Out -of- County refers to locations outside of Cabarrus County. <br />Passenger is defined as an individual who has completed the enrollment process with <br />CCTS and has been approved and authorized to receive transportation services. This <br />individual may also be referred to as the client. <br />• Private Pay refers to those unauthorized individuals whose trip will not be paid by COTS. <br />This shall include friends and family members of drivers, fare payers, and individuals <br />authorized for service by other governmental entities (including the Board of Education), and <br />County departments, but excluding designated escorts. <br />• Trip Number is the specified number used to identify the transportation request for a <br />passenger. <br />• Ride Time refers to the period between the times that the passenger boards or enters the <br />vehicle and the time that the passenger reaches their destination. <br />• Standing Trip is defined as daily, weekly, or monthly. Standing trips may be assigned to <br />Gne Contractor for an extended period of time and rotation may be used for this type of trip. <br />• No -show is defined as no passenger transported from a destination. If the contractor picks <br />up passengers from one location, and all passengers on the manifest are not located, the <br />Contractor cannot charge a no -show for the missed passengers. If a passenger is <br />transported from a destination the no -show rate does not apply. <br />Responsibilities of CCTS <br />CCTS will receive all advance reservations. An advance reservation is one which is received by 1:00 <br />pm on the day before the requested trip date. Advance reservations list of the next day's trips will be <br />transmitted to the Contractor by electronic mail by 5:00 pm the evening before.
