ARTICLE VIII (Cont.) b. The Chairman may call a meeting of the Executive Committee at his or her discretion. C. Members of the Executive Committee shall serve for the term of their office. d. A simple majority will determine the acceptance or rejection of business properly brought before Executive Committee. Section 3. Nominating Committee: The Nominating Committee shall consist of three or more members of the Commission. Section 4. Duties of the Nominating Committee: The Nominating Committee shall review and recommend a slate of officers for the forthcoming year including a Chairman, 1" Vice - Chairman and 2 nd Vice - Chairman. Before any person is nominated for an office, the nominating committee shall secure the consent of each nominee to serve if elected. The Nominating Committee shall also review and recommend to the Active Living and Parks Commission a slate of nominees for any vacant position. Section 5. Planning and Finance Committee: The Planning and Finance Committee shall consist of three or more members of the Commission. Section 6. Duties of the Planning and Finance Committee The Planning and Finance Committee shall study, prepare and recommend an annual program plan and budget. In addition, it shall be the duty of the Committee to study, prepare and annually recommend a long range plan, of not less than five years, for the acquisition of property and development of programs and facilities. The recommended annual plan and budget and the recommended long range plan shall be presented to the entire Commission for consideration not later than the regular meeting in February of each year. The Committee shall also work in partnership with the 2 nd Vice Chairman to coordinate the solicitation of funds from the corporate and private sectors. Section 7.
