Assistance Program (LIEAP). Counties are provided a limited amount of flexibility to <br />focus the program eligibility with this reduction to ensure maximization of funds. <br />• The Department plans for reduced funds in the Child Care Program due to the <br />continued sequester <br />• Medicaid will convert to the NC Fast system beginning in October 2013 with Phase I. <br />• Federal Health Care Reform will begin full implementation in 2014. The Social Service <br />agencies will receive training in September and will begin taking applications for the <br />federal marketplace in October 2013. <br />II. Child Support <br />Key Statistics: <br />• There are 5,185 cases of Child Support in Cabarrus County <br />• As of June, 2013, $10,451,095 has been collected in child support for the fiscal year <br />• 84.76% of all cases are under a child support order <br />• 84.25% of cases eligible for medical support have support established <br />Critical Trends: <br />• Reductions to the Unemployment benefits will have a negative impact on collection for <br />FY14 <br />• Child Support is currently able to operate within the Northwood's program, a county <br />electronic storage system. <br />• Cabarrus County Child Support is a Top 10 performing county in regards to incentive <br />goals. <br />• Cabarrus County Child Support was the only county statewide to meet all 5 federal <br />incentive goals <br />• Cabarrus County Child Support is meeting all 9 categories in federal Self- Assessment <br />case management goals <br />III.
