b. Activate Temporary Operations Center (TOC) in the department area at initial <br />report of severe weather. Prepare for continuous operations. <br />c. Activate the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on order from the Emergency <br />Management Coordinator. Conduct command and control of response operations as needed. <br />d. Coordinate county response with local municipalities and the Western Branch <br />Office of NC Emergency Management. <br />Management. <br />Request additional support from the Western Branch Office of NC Emergency <br />f. Track personnel overtime hours, supply purchases, equipment purchased or rented, <br />and equipment usage for county Public Assistance claims. Ensure that EOC staff collects <br />information on all operations and expenses to facilitate the county's Public Assistance claims <br />after the event. <br />2. Sheriff's Department <br />a. Alert all county agencies of impending inclement weather through the county <br />warning point. <br />b. Prepare for continuous operations within the department; alert off -shift personnel <br />for additional duty <br />c. As required, prepare vehicles and equipment for operations in snow and ice. <br />d. Assist Transportation Department in providing transportation for essential <br />personnel to and from county government offices. <br />e. Prepare to assume traffic control duties at principal highway intersections in the <br />county area if electrical power is lost to traffic signals. <br />f. Prepare to provide security for any Red Cross shelters in the areas the Sheriff's <br />Department provides law enforcement support. <br />g. Track personnel overtime hours, supply purchases, equipment purchased or rented, <br />and equipment usage for use on county Public Assistance claims. <br />3. Emergency Medical Services <br />a. Prepare for continuous operations within the department.
