Exhibit F
Turner
CABARRUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
AMENDMENT # 5 TO THE GMP — 6 & 7TH FLOOR ALTERATIONS
CLARIFICATIONS & ASSUMPTIONS
approval for its use. The following are examples of items that are included within
the Contractor's Contingency:
a. Higher than expected wages.
b. Scope omissions.
c. Subcontractor default costs not reimbursed by bonding companies or default
insurance.
d. Overtime expenses as necessary to meet the completion date unless delay is
caused by `force majeure' events or Owner or Designer changes.
e. Any reimbursable expense borne by the contractor to satisfy a contractual
obligation.
f. Costs to repair defective work not recovered from subcontractors.
g. Extra staff added over and above those previously anticipated or projected to
deal with unforeseen circumstances, or additional requested services or
added supervision related to management of difficult or non - performing
subcontractors.
This explanation of Contingency modifies Amendment #1 assumptions.
6) Sales tax has been included. We will provide Certification of the amounts paid with
each payment application so the County may pursue any credit they may be
entitled to.
7) In an effort to complete the punchlist timely, efficiently, and with high quality
control, the punch list procedure (listed below) will be followed. This procedure will
enable the owner, architect, and end user to have input on its preparation. It will
also foster an expedited completion in order to turn the facility over and minimize
disruption to the end user.
a) In order to efficiently process the punch list, and minimize disruption to the
owner and end user, one punch list will be prepared for each building. Each
area in the building will receive one complete punch list.
b) It is Turner's goal that all parties are pleased with the facility, and in so doing,
each party seriously considers who attends the punch list preparation
walkthrough.
c) Turner will notify the owner and architect two weeks prior, to schedule the
punch list walkthrough. We request that the owner notify the end user. This
walkthrough will include the owner's representative, project architect, and end
user's representative. All input from these parties is welcomed.
d) Depending upon the project schedule, Turner may choose to prepare the
complete punch list for all floors and areas at one time. Or, if the schedule
allows, to have the walkthroughs scheduled and performed by area, as the
areas are deemed complete and ready for review. This will still constitute one
punch list, simply broken by areas, as the areas are available. This will
support a timely completion, and higher quality control.
Exhibit — Clarifications & Assumptions
Page 10 of 24 2 of 6 Attachment number 1
F -3 Mar ,th, 2012
