Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance <br />Chapter 8- Conditional Uses <br />a. The tower must be designed to land upon its own property in the event of a fall <br />and shall certified by a North Carolina registered Professional Engineer (PE). <br />Certification is waived if the tower is located on the property W —il UICAL Lone radii <br />distance to the nearest structure or property line is equal to the height of the tower <br />plus 50 feet. <br />c. Towers shall be enclosed by a security fence not less than six (6) feet and no taller <br />than eight (8) feet in height. <br />publie view by level twe <br />e. The tower and any accessory buildings must be screened from public view by a <br />buffer that is a minimum of four (4) feet wide and located immediately adjacent to <br />the perimeter of the compound. Plantings shall effectively screen the compound <br />from adjacent residential properties. <br />8. Convention Center Facility <br />Office /Institutional and General Commercial districts <br />a. A complete description of the facility including but not limited to: <br />• Hours and days of operation <br />• Total number of employees, both full -time and part -time <br />• Projected number of users per weekday and weekend days <br />• Types of accessory uses, if any, envisioned on the site <br />• Any and all other relevant information that will help describe the <br />facility <br />b. Site shall be a minimum of five (5) acres <br />c. Amenity and parking areas must be a minimum of five hundred feet (500) from <br />any adjacent residentially used or zoned property line. <br />d. Where adjacent to residentially zoned or used property, a Level Two buffer shall <br />be installed. <br />9. Correctional Facility <br />Agriculture /Open wee, Limited Industrial, General Industrial districts <br />a. A complete description of the facility including but not limited to: <br />• Total number of employees, both full -time and part -time <br />• Total number of offenders to be housed <br />• Types of accessory uses, if any, envisioned on the site <br />• Any and all other relevant information that will help describe the <br />facility <br />b. Site shall be a minimum of ten (10) acres <br />c. Any recreation areas or housing unit yard areas shall be located interior to the <br />site where feasible and must be located a minimum of one thousand feet <br />(1,000) from any adjacent residentially used or zoned property line. <br />d. Where adjacent to residentially zoned or used property, a Level One Buffer shall <br />be installed. <br />e.
