PROJECT NO. 09-106 <br />KENT COUNTY CORRECTIONAL REPLACEMENT <br />KENT COUNTY <br />IP BASED VIDEO VISITATION SYSTEM <br />284690-6 <br />0413012010 <br />These drawings shall indicate the accurate locations of all equipment associated with each system <br />in respect to architectural and structural conditions. Drawings of components, equipment layouts, <br />and other small size areas shall be dimensioned to the common scale of 1/2' per foot. Drawings of <br />larger areas shall be dimensioned to the common scale of 1 /4' or 118' per foot. Drawings shall <br />include explicit notes on the termination of all conductors and shields for each location. <br />Architectural backgrounds shall be in accordance with the latest architectural drawings and shall be <br />complete with elevations, sections, and details as required depicting the installation. If upon <br />preliminary submittal of drawings, there are corrections to be made, they shall be made to the <br />drawings and resubmifted.for approval without extra cost to the County. These drawings shall be <br />approved prior to starting work. The decision of the County's representative shall be final on all <br />items. These drawings and changes, at completion of the job, shall become a part of the Contract <br />Documents. <br />J. Markings <br />1. Submit for approval wire marking, panel label, zone label, terminal strip numbering, and terminal <br />strip Identification styles and typical text. <br />2. Provide color coded cabling of a different color than the County's LAN cabling. <br />K. Training Plan <br />1. Submit the plan to be followed in training key employees in the.operation and maintenance of the <br />Installed system, as previously described. Refer to paragraph 3.11.8 for specific requirements. <br />1.4 • WARRANTY <br />A. All Work shall be guaranteed to be free from defects. Any defective materials or workmanship as well as <br />damage to the Work of all other Trades resulting from the same shall be replaced ore repaired as directed <br />by the Owner's representative for the duration of the stipulated guarantee periods. Provide two year <br />warranties for all WS equipment including the following: <br />1. All hardware and software: All components of these systems (including but not limited to, software, <br />hardware, peripheral equipment and cabling) for a period of two years from the date of written final <br />acceptance against defective materials, design and workmanship. Upon receipt of notice from the <br />Owner of failure of any part of the guaranteed system, the Contractor, with the assistance of the <br />supplier, shall promptly restore the defective component to provide an acceptable system at no <br />cost to the Owner. Warranty shall include all licensing fees and upgrades. <br />B. During the guarantee period, there shall be no charges to the Owner for service calls (mileage, labor, <br />travel, expenses, etc.) for guarantee work. <br />C. Warranty work periods shall be based upon phased completion of work (i.e. multiple warranties based <br />upon multiple acceptance dates). <br />D.
